The Honda rider missed the previous two races, in Indonesia and Argentina, as a result of diplopia (double vision) problems stemming from the accident suffered during the warm up at Mandalika .
On this occasion, the injury was milder than in the two previous cases, a circumstance that allowed him to reappear in Texas, one of his talismanic circuits.
Before receiving the approval of the doctors, however, Marc Márquez traveled to the Alcarrás circuit to ride a 600cc Honda CBR, with the intention of familiarizing himself again with the sensation of speed and verifying that, in fact, he was in running condition in Austin.
That Monday, the Spaniard appeared on the track, open to what are popularly known as ‘tandas’, intended for amateur pilots. Obviously, most of them were amazed to see themselves on the track with the multi-champion.
Among those runners was the German Johann Flammann , equipped with a series of on-board cameras and who captured much of the activity that took place. Flammann, on top of a 1000cc Kawasaki Ninja, has been an instructor in his country, where he has also participated in the occasional event.
After that day, Márquez took a few hours to reflect and finally traveled to the Circuit of the Americas, where on Sunday he again starred in another one of those comebacks that will remain forever in relief in his file.
