“To race again in Misano is special for me. This is where I tried the RS-GP for the first time and started my relationship with Aprilia”, explains the Spaniard.
Viñales parted company with Yamaha prematurely and stormy last summer, and at the end of August he did a test for his first contact with the Aprilia, which made him debut at the Aragón Grand Prix on September 12, finishing 18th.
A week later, Maverick faced his second race with Aprilia at the San Marino Grand Prix, where he finished 13th improving his feeling. Now, after skipping the race in Austin, the Catalan will have another chance at Misano .
“The temperatures will be lower than in the first round at this track, a factor that I want to take advantage of because it will allow me to use a softer tire compound at the front”, argues the rider.
