Silverstone.- Maverick Viñales was placed at the top of the time table shortly before his prototype left him lying and prevented him from completing practice.
Most eyes were focused during the warm up on the garage of the Noale brand, where Aleix Espargaró confirmed that he is indeed in a position to take part in the test. The Spaniard, who is chasing Fabio Quartararo in the general points table –he is 21 points behind the Frenchman–, managed to place sixth, six tenths behind his workshop neighbor, despite the obvious pain in his ankles, as a result of the tremendous fall suffered on Saturday, during the fourth free practice.
The second fastest was Alex Rins, who was two tenths ahead of Joan Mir, his Suzuki teammate, while Marco Bezzecchi, fourth, was the first among the Ducati riders.
Quartararo finished fifth, followed only four thousandths by Espargaró. In this sense, it should be noted that the Devil must carry out a rodeo (long lap) in the first stages of the test.
Jorge Martín finished seventh, immediately ahead of Miguel Oliveira, the first of the KTM members, and Brad Binder (ninth), while Takaaki Nakagami closed the top ten from which Pecco Bagnaia was left out, 12th eight tenths of the fastest.
In the final part of practice, Pol Espargaró crashed at turn 4, losing the front of his Honda.
