Oronoco Bay Park is a 4.5 acre waterfront park in Alexandria, Virginia. This historic area was inhabited by Indians in the mid-17th century and later owned by the Standard Oil Company. In the 1980s, the city of Alexandria acquired the land and turned it into a park. Today, Oronoco Bay Park is a popular place for picnics, walking, biking, and jogging. Festivals and special events are held in the park during the warmer months of the year. Every summer the community gathers here for the USA – Alexandria Birthday Celebration, to see fireworks and hear a concert by the Alexandria Symphony Orchestra.

The park is located at the north end of Union Street along the Potomac River. Entrances to the park are at Madison St., Pendleton St., and Wythe Street Plaza.

Alexandria has several parks that provide the opportunity to enjoy walks, picnics, relax, and participate in all kinds of sports activities.
