The airline Viva Aerobus announced the opening of five new routes at the Felipe Ángeles International Airport (AIFA) as of July 15, including the first international connection of a Mexican airline at the airport, which will add seven routes.
In a statement, the airline reported that it will fly from AIFA to Acapulco, Cancun, Oaxaca, Puerto Escondido and Havana, in Cuba, in addition to the two routes it already operates to Monterrey and Guadalajara. With this, the company plans to have 70 operations a week at the AIFA, which will allow it to offer around 750,000 seats a year.
