Formula 1 travels to Europe for the first time in this 2022 season, and will visit the legendary Imola track for the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix. This will be the third consecutive time that the Italian circuit will host a test of the highest category of motorsport after its return in 2020 as one of the substitutes due to the pandemic.

In the last edition, there was a crazy race conditioned by the rain, which made an appearance from the time the traffic lights went out until the asphalt dried up in the middle of the test, and in 2022 it is possible that it will be repeated.

Day Weather Maximum and minimum temperatures Possibility of rain winds
Friday Drizzle 14°-12º 80% SOE 16km/h
Saturday Drizzle 21°-11° 5% E 13km/h
Sunday Drizzle 18°-13º 30% NE 19km/h

The first day of action on the track will bring rain with it, as the probability that water will make an appearance over Imola on Friday is 80% , with maximum temperatures of 14º C , so it will be necessary to be cautious in the only free training, since being a weekend with the sprint format, we will have the classification in the afternoon.

Once the positions of the starting grid for the short test on Saturday have been decided, where there is a change in points, the drivers will be able to continue testing in the second free practice session, before being placed on the starting grid with slightly higher temperatures , around 20º C , as well as with a probability of rain reduced to 5% for the time of the sprint race.

On Sunday, the important day in Formula 1, the single-seaters will return to action with a 30% chance of rain on the Italian track located in Imola, with a temperature that will once again drop to a maximum of 18º C.
