The journalist and graphic designer David McCandless has been commissioned to carry out this study using public data from Facebook, that is, through what people publish in their personal status on the social network. In this way, he has produced a graph that shows the increase or decrease of romantic breakups throughout the year.
Their results also reveal two important peaks in the breakdown of romantic relationships at the beginning of spring and in summer. Regarding the day of the week, McCandless states that Mondays are the most common days to announce the break through Facebook .
