When you want your baby to be born now because you feel like you can't take it anymore

0

My two pregnancies have been as different as my daughters are now: the first, very complicated, high risk, with intervals of absolute and relative rest, with various incomes that made me wish it would last as long as possible to increase the chances of that my baby was born perfectly (and fortunately, and after an emergency cesarean section, it was).

The second, however, was the complete opposite: I felt great during the 39 weeks it lasted … I walked, swam, traveled and didn’t have a single complication, except sciatica down the stretch. However, there came a time when I felt so exhausted that I began to strongly wish that I would be born as soon as possible .

Tiredness in pregnancy

In my case, I had several reasons that made me wish for delivery: my belly was exaggeratedly large (in fact I had to start wearing maternity clothes every month because absolutely nothing fit me), and I felt very tired because I could not sleep well. In the first pregnancy I had a very round tummy and I was very grateful because it fitted me phenomenally on the pregnancy cushion. In the second it stopped working for the last few months and it was very difficult for me to find a position in which I felt comfortable and could fall asleep.

Sciatica was also a determining factor. The pain can become so acute that as soon as you sit up you feel that you cannot move (as if your hip and leg were pierced with a sword). If you add to that pain the weight you carry in your belly, believe me, as much as the kicks you like, feeling a baby inside is wonderful and knowing that the first days after birth are very hard, you come to wish with force that it arrives. the moment .

The final stretch: a whole host of emotions

As the moment approaches, it is normal to have a mixture of feelings of the most diverse : you know that there is little left at last to see your baby’s face, you are nervous because the moment of delivery does not stop giving a certain fear, you see the crib and you know that soon your little treasure will be there, and if you are a new mother you feel great emotion for that unknown world that you are going to face.

Whether you are looking forward to the moment or not, there is something I can assure you: you will miss feeling his kicks, touching your belly and knowing that your baby is inside you. Despite the fatigue you feel, live every second with intensity, caress your abdomen as much as you want, talk to it, sing to it and keep in your mind and in your heart everything you feel, because it is one of the most incredible moments that the lifetime.
