You can now die at 60 fps with the arrival of FPS Boost to Dark Souls III on Xbox Series

The idea of being able to play Dark Souls 3 at 60 fps on Xbox began to emerge yesterday following an announcement made on Microsoft’s Italian social networks and, as expected, the official confirmation has not been long in coming.

FromSoftware’s 2016 game will now be played at 60 fps on both Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X thanks to Xbox FPS Boost technology, adding to the nearly 100 supported titles that have been announced so far.

Of course, despite the improvement in frames, the game still needs a boost in resolution, which from Digital Foundry warns that it remains in the original 900p of Xbox One, which undoubtedly brings out not a few rough edges in the jump to 4K displays.

To activate the FPS Boost in the game and start enjoying watching you die with more images per second, you simply have to go to the game, press the menu button on it and go to Manage games and accessories .

From there you can access the Compatibility Options and manually enable or disable both HDR and FPS Boost . Keep in mind that to start enjoying the change you will have to restart the game.
