According to the Stade police, at around 9:15 p.m. a young man from Wischhafen drove his Audi A3 off the roadway of a left-hand bend in the municipality of Hammah and drove straight ahead into a tree and a lantern. It was not until Thursday, September 8th, 2022, that a fatal accident also occurred in Hammah.

The force of the impact was so enormous that the entire engine block was ripped out of the vehicle. The 19-year-old driver was thrown out of the Audi by the impact and initially lay motionless on the road. First responders immediately initiated resuscitation measures for the life-threatening victim.
