The murder of a young woman shakes the British capital again. Now the police are following a hot lead. A 38-year-old was arrested.
London – The British police arrested a suspect in the high-profile murder case of Sabina Nessa in London. The 38-year-old was taken into custody on Sunday night.
The victim's family had been informed of this "significant development", the police said.
Sabina Nessa disappeared on the short walk from her apartment in south east London to a pub on September 17th. The next day, the 28-year-old's body was found in a park on the route.
The case is reminiscent of the murder of Londoner Sarah Everard in March, which led to an outcry across the country over the widespread violence against women. Sarah Everard had been kidnapped on the street while on the way home from a friend. A police officer confessed to raping and killing the 33-year-old.
