The remake of Eyes of Fire, an adaptation of the inexhaustible mind of Stephen King prepares its first day of production by showing the first video behind the cameras. The post comes from the publication via Twitter of the production company specialized in horror Blumhouse and in it, you can see a shot in which someone, in a fire-retardant suit, walks 5 steps surrounded by specialists with fire extinguishers, while it is burning. The horror production company has added a comment to the post in which it says “Walking into the first dat of production like …” (Entering the first day of production as …), joking with the incendiary scene. Blumhouse has essentially produced tapes of the genre horror films such as Insidius or Sinister, although it has also been nominated for an Oscar for best picture three times with other genres such as Whiplash, Let me out and Infiltrated in the KKKlan. Now the production company begins the production of the remake Eyes of Fire, starring Zack Efron and with a cast of which only Michael Greyeyes is also known in the role of the murderer John Rainbird. Efron will be the father of a girl who develops powers of creation and fire explosion. The character Andy McGee, played by Efron, must take care of his daughter in the face of the threat of a secret agency of the US government that is pursued by a murderer hired to kill her. Keith Thomas will direct what will be his second film after Vigil while Scott Teems will sign the adapted screenplay for King’s novel. In addition to Jason Blum for Blumhouse, the Oscar winner for Best Original Screenplay for A Beautiful Mind, Akiva Goldsman is co-producing the project, under his Weed Road banner. The original film was released in theaters in 1984, in which David Keith played the character that Efron now occupies and a very young Drew Barrymore was his daughter in an all-star cast consisting of Matin Sheen, Art Carney, Louise Fletcher and Heather Locklear. . Little else is known about this new remake of Eyes of Fire, but Blumhouse’s ability to take a modern, psychological horror approach to the story portends a promising project.
