Corona rules in Kenya: Further restrictions planned in the country

In addition to the entry restriction, the East African country also wants to restrict access to many facilities such as hotels, bars and national parks to vaccinated people. With this, Kenya is also reacting to the low vaccination quota in its own country – so far only 4.3 percent of the population have been fully vaccinated, around 8 percent have received a first dose. While initially there was hardly any corona vaccine available, the government is now encountering a lack of acceptance of the vaccine, as stated in the RND report. “It is very important that we do not lag behind in this new world order, especially because we are a popular travel destination for many people in the world. We have to show the world that we are in solidarity with the use of vaccines as a means to contain Covid-19 when we welcome visitors to our national parks, on our beaches and in our hotels, “said the Kenyan Health Department regarding the low Corona -Vaccination rate.

Meanwhile, a new corona variant has been discovered in South Africa. The first countries are already reacting to this with measures. In Germany, health politician Karl Lauterbach warns of the mutation. (fk)
