Hamburg – More and more people want to demonstrate on the streets against the Corona measures. The police, in coordination with the health department, have now banned a demonstration planned for next Saturday. The reason should be the experience that the demonstrating vaccination opponents and corona deniers do not adhere to the infection protection measures such as the obligation to wear masks and distances.

Police spokesmen justify the ban by saying that people at Corona demos do not follow the rules, while demonstrators at “solidarity” events or Fridays For Future do. Therefore, only one event was banned, while the others are still allowed to take place.
Nevertheless, the AfD, CDU and left see the ban critically. One should not simply ban in an authoritarian manner, but rather tackle the problem in terms of content.
