After a compulsory break for one year, Crown Princess Mary and her children were able to take part in the traditional Hubertus hunt. No trace of royal restraint.

Eremitageslottet – When autumn arrives in Dyrehaven Park and the calendar shows the first Sunday in November, it is time for the traditional Hubertus hunt in Denmark. After the equestrian spectacle, in which neither dogs nor game is hunted, had to be canceled last year due to the corona pandemic, the horses could be saddled again this year in Klampenborg. Crown Princess Mary’s presence with her twins made the hunt a royal event, reveals 24royal.de *.

Crown Princess Mary * (49), who rides dressage herself, was present with her twins. Together with around 40,000 spectators, they and their youngest children Prince Vincent and Princess Josephine (both 10) watched the new edition of the old parade hunts for which Dyrehaven Park was originally built from the balcony of the Hermitage Hunting Lodge.

In Denmark, in the traditional Hubertus hunt, the fox is replaced by two riders who have a fox tail attached to their shoulders. Both men and women ride in red skirts. On eleven kilometers, there are 32 obstacles over hill and dale.

When action is required, as in the Royal Run *, the children of Mary and Crown Prince Frederik (53) * are fully involved. Especially the little Princess Josephine cheered loudly, raised both arms and beamed all over her face, while Mama Mary with a warm woolen hat and her brother Vincent watched the hunt eagerly.

Unfortunately, they also witnessed a riding accident that luckily did not end badly. But when a rider fell at full speed, everyone held their breath in shock. * 24royal.de is an offer from IPPEN.MEDIA
