Easy fig sweet recipe

This fig sweet has a texture very similar to any homemade jam and combines very well with natural yogurts , creamy cheeses or smoothies. And best of all, you only need three ingredients to prepare it and you can store it in the fridge for several weeks.

Ingredients:

  • Letters: 1 kilo
  • Sugar: 800 gr
  • Juice of 4 lemons

    2. Next , we add the sugar and mix well so that all the fig pieces come into contact with the sugar.
    3. Add the juice of the 4 lemons and mix well again . We have to leave this mixture to marinate for a few hours and if it is very hot, we can take it to the fridge.
    4. The next step is to bring the pot or saucepan to medium heat and let it cook until it has the texture of a jam or sweet. It is important to stir with some frequency so that the sweet of figs does not stick to the bottom or the sides of the pot.
    5. Clever! When the sweet has acquired the texture that you like the most, you can divide it into several jars to consume each day . the best thing is to pack the jam or the sweet of figs while it is still hot.
    6. You then immediately put the lid on the jars and turn them over (make them “upside down”). This technique ensures greater hermeticity and allows you to keep your sweet in the fridge for longer. Just remember that the jars must be previously washed and completely dry.
    7. When the sweet is already at room temperature, you can take the jars to the fridge and consume it at the temperature and in the way you prefer.

    Two tips “extras” to prepare your sweet of figs

    If you prefer, you can prepare this same recipe for sweet figs in the Thermomix. To do this, just add the figs, the sugar and the lemon juice, set 30 minutes at a temperature of 100º on speed 3.

    Another simple but useful tip: if you like finer and lighter jams, once your fig sweet is cooked, you can put it through the blender and then share it in the jars.
