Invasive tick in Rhineland-Palatinate transmits deadly disease

Rhineland-Palatinate – When biologists speak of invasive animal species, they mean species that spread in an ecosystem in which they are not otherwise native. This happens again and again in a wide variety of ways – and affects a wide variety of species. This summer, it is tropical ticks that are causing researchers concern. They appear more and more in the southwest.
