Jack Miller: "Perseverance is my weak point, it has resisted me my entire career"

Jack Miller arrives in Portugal full of motivation after a great performance in Austin, where he managed to climb to the honor roll alongside Alex Rins and Enea Bastianini.

“In general terms I feel happy, I feel happy,” Miller introduced at the Portuguese Grand Prix press conference. “We’re going to try to do the same thing we did in Austin.”

At the moment, the Australian rider feels capable of climbing to the top of the Portuguese podium, with an official Ducati with which he feels more and more affinity.

“Every time I understand my bike more, what we have to do and where we have to work. We are going to try to find the speed of last year,” warned the official Ducati rider.

Jack Miller’s objective is to have a solid weekend in Portimao, an essential base to “have confidence on Sunday”.

“My bike is working well. We have a fantastic technical package and I’m going to try to run the bike in the best possible way and make the most of its potential.”

“The season in Europe starts this weekend and we want to be there.”

Jack Miller has already tasted the Algarve podium in the past, and Ducati is running as one of the brands to beat on the Portuguese track. With these premises, the Portuguese Grand Prix could be the perfect setting for the Australian driver to exchange a third position for a victory.

“The plan is to take advantage of this. Right now we have a good inertia, with good circuits to come,” said the Australian driver.

“I think the fact that Portimao is so different from the rest of the circuit makes it fit for us.”

“Most of the circuits feel like they’re cut and paste, so it’s great to come to such a different layout.”

“For me the most important thing is to work all weekend. Consistency is my weak point, it has resisted me throughout my career,” concluded the Ducati rider.
