The 34-year-old man with Iraqi citizenship is said to have stabbed a 23-year-old in a restaurant on Sunday evening, as a spokesman for the Oldenburg public prosecutor said on Monday. The victim was fatally injured.

A short time later, the 34-year-old is said to have tried to kill a 27-year-old woman. She was life-threateningly injured, but was no longer in mortal danger on Monday lunchtime, the police said.
