The 34-year-old man with Iraqi citizenship is said to have stabbed a 23-year-old in a restaurant on Sunday evening, as a spokesman for the Oldenburg public prosecutor said on Monday. The victim was fatally injured.
A short time later, the 34-year-old is said to have tried to kill a 27-year-old woman. She was life-threateningly injured, but was no longer in mortal danger on Monday lunchtime, the police said. The suspect, who lives in Delmenhorst, was arrested in Bremen-Gröpelingen in a “helpless situation”. He did not offer any resistance.
According to its own information, the public prosecutor’s office is currently assuming a relationship act. The background and the relationships between the alleged perpetrator and the victims have not yet been conclusively clarified. The body was to be autopsied.
