The corona pandemic offers the potential for all kinds of criminal activities. A recent arrest in the Netherlands has a particularly curious background.

The Hague – The FIOD tax investigation office arrested a man in the Netherlands on Friday (December 10) who allegedly offered coronaviruses to self-infect on the Internet. RUHR24 * reveals what’s behind the strange business model.

A so-called “corona kit” is said to have cost 33.50 euros. This includes: a tube with alleged virus fluid and a self-test to determine the infection afterwards. According to FIOD, potential buyers have been promised that they will be able to have a 2G certificate issued after they have overcome (self) infection. * RUHR24 is part of the IPPEN.MEDIA editorial network.
