Mexico's proven hydrocarbon reserves rose 0.4% to 8,014.4 million barrels of crude oil equivalent (boe) as of January 1, 2022 from a year earlier, the oil sector regulator said on Tuesday.

Crude reserves decreased 1% to 6,058.7 million barrels, while gas reserves rose to 10,781 billion cubic feet, according to data from the National Hydrocarbons Commission (CNH) released in an internet session.

The data brings together the reserves of the state oil company Pemex, the largest operator in the sector in Mexico, and those of other companies that have entered the market after the 2013/2014 energy reform, both national and large foreign companies.
