New Corona regulation in force: Shortened quarantine at home – this applies in Hamburg from now on

The quarantine is shortened to 10 days. If you’re boosted, you don’t have to stay at home. There are exceptions for children and medical workers.

Hamburg – As of today, January 15, the new Corona rules are effective in Hamburg. The Corona Containment Ordinance, which the federal and state governments agreed on a week ago, provides for shorter isolation and quarantine times.
24hamburg.de reveals what the new quarantine rules mean for the individual Hamburger.

Infected and contact persons now only have to be quarantined for 10 instead of 14 days after an infection or a risk contact. After 7 days, anyone who is symptom-free has the opportunity to test themselves free with a PCR or rapid test. However, anyone who works in a nursing profession or in medical facilities needs a PCR test to be on the safe side and must be symptom-free for 48 hours. Under certain conditions, daycare and school children can test themselves free after 5 days.

If you are only a contact person and not infected yourself, you may not have to go into quarantine at all. Anyone who has been boosted or has recovered within the last three months or has been vaccinated for the second time is exempt from the quarantine obligation. However, if you have symptoms of illness, you should still take care of yourself and take a test to be on the safe side. * 24hamburg.de is an offer from IPPEN.MEDIA.
