Prince Charles chatted about his taste in music on a radio show – and it's more soulful than you might think.

London – At first glance, Prince Charles (72) may not necessarily be associated with swinging hips, a sense of rhythm and the disco sounds of the 1970s. For a special broadcast by the British Hospital Broadcasting Association (HBA), the son of Queen Elizabeth II (95) has now presented a whole new facet of himself.

The Prince of Wales was allowed to choose a total of twelve of his favorite songs for the radio show. The pieces show that his taste in music is quite broad, but a certain affinity for pop and soul cannot be denied. His favorites include “Upside Down” by Diana Ross (77), “The Click Song” by Miriam Makeba (76, † 2008) and the former ESC winner “The Voice” by Eimear Quinn (48).

When it comes to shaking the dance floor, Prince Charles also has a clear favorite song *: "Givin 'Up, Givin' In" by the female soul trio The Three Degrees from 1978. As the 72-year-old revealed, got the number triggered in him the “irrepressible desire to get up and dance”. * 24royal.de is an offer from IPPEN.MEDIA.
