Queen Elizabeth II has turned her back on Windsor Castle. For her first trip after taking a break, she has chosen a special travel destination.

Windsor – The British people can breathe a sigh of relief after the troubling news of the past few weeks. Queen Elizabeth II (95) finally seems to be getting better. She has interrupted her rest and left her residence at Windsor Castle.

As the Mirror reports, the 95-year-old is said to have made her way to Norfolk by helicopter. Your Destination? Sandringham House! Queen Elizabeth II apparently wants to spend the weekend at her country house. There is supposed to be a very special reason behind their trip. The Queen will be planning an important celebration during her weekend visit that “she is very much looking forward to”. The preparations for Christmas and the accommodation of the invited guests are high on the agenda of the regent, according to the Mirror.

The British royal family gathers every year – with the exception of 2020 – at Sandringham House and spends the Christmas holidays together. On December 25th (Christmas Day) Prince Charles (72), Duchess Kate (39) & Co. take part in the Christmas service in St. Mary Magdalene Church. It is not known whether Duchess Meghan (40) and Prince Harry (37) also received an invitation. Her daughter Lilibet Diana has not yet met her great-grandmother and namesake. * 24royal.de is an offer from IPPEN.MEDIA.
