Singüenza – Guadalajara

Singüenza is a great town for a two or three day getaway in the fall. The most important monument is the Cathedral of Sigüenza, built in the 12th century. Inside is the chapel where Doncel Marín Vázquez de Arce is buried.

It is also of special interest to visit the Casa del Doncel , a Gothic-style construction that houses the Municipal Historical Archive.

Alcalá del Júcar – Albacete

Few places are better to rest and breathe fresh air than Alcalá del Júcar, in the province of Albacete. Declared a Historic-Artistic Site , the town has a very special charm. The Castle is its main emblem and can be visited throughout the year.

The 16th century Church of San Andrés Apóstol is impressive. The Devil’s Cave is a very curious place, a cave that completely crosses the hill and that today is enabled as a restaurant.

Alcaraz – Albacete

The municipality of Alcaraz, in the province of Albacete, stands on a slope of the hill of San Cristóbal . The Plaza Mayor is the heart of the town, where the Iglesia de la Trinidad, the Torre del Tardón and the Lonjas are located.

The House of Justice houses the Tourist Office, and it is worth going to it to see the façade. It is also of special interest to visit the remains of a 14th century Aqueduct of which only one arch remains.

Belmonte – Cuenca

Visiting Belmonte, in the province of Cuenca, is like taking a trip back in time to the 15th century. The most relevant monument is the castle, which is currently owned by the Casa Ducal de Peñaranda and you can see the interior. As for the wall, a good part of it and three access doors have been preserved.

Consuegra – Toledo

And finally, Consuegra, one of the best towns in Castilla-La Mancha to visit in autumn. The old town is very welcoming and houses such interesting buildings as the Municipal Archaeological Museum . The windmills on Cerro Calderico are a fundamental place to see in Consuegra.
