Berlin – Even before the end of her time as Federal Chancellor Angela Merkel can be seen in a casual look at Madame Tussauds in Berlin.
The Berlin wax museum presented the outgoing Chancellor on Thursday in front of the Reichstag building with a backpack, vest and hiking trousers – after all, "Angela Merkel's waxing period as Chancellor" is coming to an end, the museum announced. From September 26th, visitors should be able to look at the newly dressed wax figure.
Meanwhile, Madame Tussauds is already preparing for new times. "In the coming week we will send inquiries to all candidates for chancellor," said Nadja Troublefield, the head of the wax museum. The future chancellor should also get a wax double as soon as possible. dpa
