A 12-year-old girl was slightly injured in an accident in Langen (Offenbach district). An unknown VW driver disregards the right of way.

Langen – The Offenbach police* are looking for witnesses who can provide information about an unknown driver of a black VW with an Offenbach license plate after a traffic accident escape. He was already involved in an accident on Friday (January 21, 2022) at around 7:30 a.m. on the northern ring road in Langen and fled the scene of the accident undetected, the police said.

The collision happened on Friday morning at the Nördliche Ringstrasse/Hans-Kreiling Allee roundabout. There, a 12-year-old drove along the northern ring road coming from the direction of the S-Bahn and into the roundabout. The previously unknown driver of the black VW with an Offenbach license plate drove into the roundabout from Hans-Kreiling-Allee.

Because he then disregarded the right of way of the 12-year-old, the VW collided with the cyclist, causing her to fall and graze her skin. The person who caused the accident fled without fulfilling his obligations as a party involved in the accident. The girl’s bike was also damaged in the amount of 50 euros.

The 12-year-old was treated at the scene for her minor injuries, but did not have to be hospitalized. The traffic accident escape group has started investigating the unknown and is now asking witnesses who noticed the accident to call 06183/91155-0. (ska)
