Wet fun awaits at Six Flags White Water Atlanta

0

Six Flags White Water Atlanta, a large water park, offers a wide variety of slides and other ways to get wet. Note that the stand-alone park is not directly connected to an amusement park, but Six Flags Over Georgia is nearby.

Given that it is run by Six Flags, it should come as no surprise that there are many exciting attractions to test your mettle. Perhaps the most challenging rides is Dive Bomber. Intrepid passengers enter the launch chambers more than 100 feet in the air. When the hatch is opened, they are released in a free fall of almost 90 degrees. (That’s almost down).

Other thrilling rides include the Tornado Funnel Ride and the Typhoon Twister Bowl Ride. More moderate thrills can be found on the Escape Chute, Caribbean Plunge, and Gulf Coast Screamer escape slides, as well as the Wahoo Racer multi-lane racing slide.

There are many other body and tube slides that Six Flags characterizes as “family rides.” There’s also the Atlanta Ocean Wave Pool and the Little Hooch lazy river. Younger kids will want to head to Buccaneer Bay and Captain Kid’s Cove, two interactive water play areas.

Admission policy

Advance purchase tickets are available online at the park’s official site at a discount. Reduced price tickets available for children under 48 inches. Day, group and season tickets are available. Please note that admission to Six Flags Over Georgia is not included and requires a separate ticket.

White Water offers a Flash Pass that, for an additional fee, allows guests to “virtually” keep their spots online. Effectively eliminates lines on the most popular slides and attractions for those willing to pay more for the privilege.

What is there to eat?

The usual variety of park food is available, including pizza, burgers, chicken, smoked potatoes, and French fries. For those with a sweet tooth, White Water offers funnel cake, ice cream, and shakes. Please note that the park does not allow guests to bring food or drinks.
