No plan this weekend? Celebrates the anniversary of the Banco de México Museum

The Banco de México Museum is celebrating: it is one year since it opened its doors to the public, and to celebrate it it inaugurated a new temporary exhibition called Banco de México Museum: A New History .

Starting this September 24, the Museum will exhibit the history behind the museum's commemorative medal as well as some of the functions that the bank vault had in ancient times.

Because we are celebrating the anniversary, only this Saturday the museum will have extended hours from 11:00 in the morning to 7:00 at night.

In the new exhibition you will find a series of photographs, old documents and coins that tell the story of the bank. You can also find an area with bags similar to those that protected money in the past and take a picture.

There will also be special guests such as José Gordon and Luis Cabrera, who were responsible for creating an immersive experience in the museum's vault.

Space is limited and there is a contest for those who wish to participate.

On Sunday, September 25 at 12:00 and 2:00 p.m. there will be a sound intervention with the artist Antonio Isaac called Oraculum.

Where can I get the tickets?

The museum is located on Av. May 5 #2 in the Historic Center of Mexico City. The nearest metro is Bellas Artes. Tickets are reserved on the museobancodemexico.mx page or at the box office next to the building.

If you cannot attend the museum this weekend, you can follow the conferences on the Museum's social networks: MuseoBancodeMéxico on Instagram and Facebook.
