How are male and female orgasms different?

Orgasm is the neurovegetative response produced by the body due to the stimuli that have been created during the arousal phase. When the pelvic and genital muscles are stressed by the amount of blood accumulated in them, they send messages to the spinal cord. Orgasm is the reflex reaction caused by these messages and this nervous reaction causes contractions in the envelope of the muscles.

The female orgasm

Contractions start at 0.8 second intervals and their number can vary greatly, decreasing in intensity, duration, and frequency thereafter. More than a response located in the pelvis, it is a total response of the body. Imagination is directly related to orgasm, the brain has a lot to do with it. With penetration, the entire vulvar pyramid is synchronously mobilized and the G-spot and the clitoris are stimulated. Every woman has the physical ability to experience orgasms.

These are the symptoms of female orgasm:

  • Greater increase in heart rate .
  • Increased respiration.
  • Increased blood pressure.
  • Subjective feeling of the explosion of pleasure.
  • Contraction of the uterus.
  • Orgasmic platform contraction.

After orgasm, there would be a recovery in the woman from the pre-arousal state. Although if it is re-stimulated before the sexual tension decreases , the woman is capable of presenting several successive orgasms.

The male orgasm

There are between 3 and 10 contractions with an interval of 8 tenths of a second between each, depending on how intense the response is. This means that an orgasm lasts on average between 4 and 8 seconds . Man experiences this physiological reaction as a wave of pleasant sensations.

These are the symptoms of male orgasm:

  • Greater increase in heart rate.
  • Increased respiration.
  • Increased blood pressure .
  • Subjective feeling of the explosion of pleasure.
  • Contraction of the penis, urethra and sphincter.
  • Expulsion of semen to the outside.

After orgasm, in man there would be the recovery of the state prior to arousal and the refractory period would begin , by which the man will not become aroused again until after a while, something that can vary according to each person.
