A resident discovered the snake on Friday afternoon in Haldensleben, said a fire department spokesman. The animal was in very bad shape. Now it is being nursed back to a snake farm in the Harz district.

The snake was reportedly found in the cellar of the neighboring house, which is connected to that of the building from which the animal disappeared on July 24th.
