MotoGP: Martín messes it up again and repeats pole position at the Austrian GP

Spielberg.- This is the third pole position for the Spaniard since his entry into the heavy bike category, and the third for a rider who has arrived since the playoffs ( Q1 ).

Martín brilliantly straightened out a delicate Grand Prix start, in which he crashed twice before being forced to go through the first qualifying sieve.

In a last dizzying turn, the boy from San Sebastian de los Reyes (Madrid) stuck to the back of Johann Zarco to lower, once again, the absolute record of the track, which Fabio Quartararo had taken from him a few minutes before.

El Diablo will start second, while Pecco Bagnaia will start third and thus close the front row of the grid.

The second will be formed by Johann Zarco (fourth), Marc Márquez (fifth) and Jack Miller (sixth), while Joan Mir , the current world champion, will start seventh.

Aleix Espargaró (eighth) and Miguel Oliveira (ninth) will make up the third row, while Brad Binder closed the top ten , ahead of Pol Espargaró (eleventh).

Of those who could not get into Q2, the 13th place that will correspond to Alex Rins stands out, the 18th that will be for Valentino Rossi and the last, the 20th, from which Cal Crutchlow, Franco Morbidelli’s substitute in the Sepang Racing Team, will start.
