311 districts with a corona incidence of over 1000: These are the hotspots in Germany

The RKI reports the current number of cases and incidence values – an overview.

+++ 10 a.m.: The corona incidence value for Germany reached a new high on Monday morning (02/07/2022). According to data from the Robert Koch Institute, this was 1426.0. The list of corona hotspots is getting longer and longer. Meanwhile, the values of 311 urban and rural districts in Germany are in the four-digit range, 36 of them over 2000. The leader is the district of Fürstenfeldbruck from Bavaria with 4083.8.

First report from Monday, February 7th, 2022, 6:30 a.m.: Berlin/Frankfurt – The seven-day incidence of new corona infections in Germany has reached another high. According to the Robert Koch Institute, it was 1426.0 nationwide on Monday morning (February 7th, 2022). The incidence quantifies the number of new infections per 100,000 people over a period of seven days.

For comparison: the day before the value was 1400.8. As reported by the RKI, citing data from the health authorities, the number of new infections within 24 hours on Monday morning was 95,267 – after 133,173 on Sunday (02/06/2022) and 78,318 on Monday last week (01/31/2022). As the RKI further announced, 49 further deaths in connection with the corona virus were also recorded on Monday (February 7th, 2022).

Corona case numbers – incidence continues to rise

According to the RKI, the health authorities have recorded a total of 11,117,857 cases of infection since the beginning of the pandemic. The total number of registered corona deaths in Germany is now 118,766. The RKI puts the number of people who have recovered from corona disease in Germany at around 8,142,100.

Corona case numbers for Germany: RKI records 49 deaths

In November, the federal and state governments had defined the so-called hospitalization incidence as the decisive benchmark for tightening or relaxing the corona measures. This value indicates how many people per 100,000 inhabitants are hospitalized within seven days because of a corona infection. According to the latest RKI report, the hospitalization incidence on Friday (February 4th, 2022) was 5.45 nationwide.
