Update from September 7th, 1:50 p.m.: The coronavirus has been preoccupying Germany and the world for almost two years, many restrictions still apply. Among other things, the mask requirement has become an integral part of everyday life. Schleswig-Holstein now wants to abolish exactly this mask requirement, for example at events, in sports and in gastronomy.
The so-called 3G principle applies there, according to which only vaccinated, convalescent or tested people are given access. “Wherever 3G can be complied with in Schleswig-Holstein, there will no longer be any restrictions in the future,” said Prime Minister Daniel Günther on Tuesday after a cabinet meeting in Kiel.
The state government made up of the CDU, the Greens and the FDP wants to make a clear change of course by September 20. In future, it will rely on the so-called 3G rule. According to the plans, there will then no longer be any capacity restrictions at events, in the cinema, in sports or in restaurants. Wherever the 3G rule is not practicable, such as in retail or in local public transport, the existing rules will remain, said Günther.
In addition to the seven-day incidence, the occupancy of intensive care units with Covid-19 patients is to come more into focus in the future.
Only 2.2 percent of the possible intensive care beds are currently occupied, said Günther. On Monday, the number of new corona infections in Schleswig-Holstein within seven days, according to the state government, was 50.8 per 100,000 inhabitants. 67 Covid-19 patients were treated in the hospitals. 19 of them are in the intensive care unit, 16 are ventilated there.

The RKI gives the hospitalization incidence in its current management report from Monday at 1.64. The last value from Friday: 1.83. The hospitalization incidence is the number of corona patients admitted to clinics per 100,000 inhabitants within seven days. Since an average of about ten days elapse between an infection and hospitalization, this value reflects the infection situation with a noticeable delay. According to RKI information, the calculation is based on the reporting date to the local health department. The previous high was around 15.5 around Christmas time.
The number of patients in the regional clinics is to become a new parameter for assessing the situation in the corona pandemic. This Tuesday, the Bundestag wants to pass some new regulations shortly before the election. The free corona tests * are also to be abolished. (ml) * Merkur.de is an offer from IPPEN.MEDIA
