First trial of the momentous corona outbreak in the Tyrolean ski resort of Ischgl. The relatives of a dead patient suffer a setback for the time being.
Vienna – In the first trial of the fatal corona infections in the Tyrolean ski resort of Ischgl, the relatives of a dead patient temporarily suffered a setback.
The judge in the Vienna Regional Court did not allow any further scientific reports and requests for the submission of official minutes, which the plaintiff's attorney had requested. The widow and son of an Austrian who died of Corona, who is said to have been infected when he left Ischgl in chaos, are demanding around 100,000 euros in damages from the state.
Since all relevant information about the actions of the authorities are known, the proceedings will be closed, said the judge and announced a written judgment. The proceedings were followed by further lawsuits in the days that followed. In general, the plaintiffs accuse the Republic of warning about the coronavirus, which is also rampant in Ischgl, too late and reacting too hesitantly. dpa
