Corona situation: RKI reports almost 33,000 new infections – but the numbers are imprecise

The RKI announces the daily updated Corona case numbers for Germany. However, experts point to an under-reporting.

Berlin / Frankfurt – Compared to the previous day, the nationwide seven-day incidence fell again in Germany. The Robert Koch Institute (RKI) gave the value of new corona infections per 100,000 inhabitants and week on Sunday morning as 390.9. For comparison: the previous day the value was 402.9.

A week ago the nationwide incidence was 439.2 (previous month: 263.7). The health authorities in Germany reported 32,646 new corona infections to the RKI within one day. This is evident from the numbers that reflect the status of the RKI dashboard at 4:05 a.m. Exactly one week ago there were 42,055 infections.
