Elon Musk believes that the only way out of humanity is to go live on other planets

The CEO of Tesla, Neuralink and SpaceX, among other companies, Elon Musk, claims that the only way to save ourselves from "a mass extinction" is for us to move towards a "multi-planetary" life. According to the South African entrepreneur "there is a 100% chance that all species will become extinct due to the expansion of the Sun, unless humanity adapts to multiplanetary life," he wrote on his Twitter account. Musk said this in response to a warning published in a peer-reviewed article about the sixth mass extinction caused by human activity that has already begun.

Estimates made in the study suggest that some 260,000 species including invertebrate animals such as snails and slugs may have been lost since the year 1500.

The authors state that accepting extinction without reacting is a derogation from humanity's responsibility . Our haste to get humanity off the planet could even end up accelerating extinction, some voices say. Accepting, without further ado, that the new mass extinction event represents the natural path along which we humans travel is not the most appropriate for future generations.

But Musk's plan is an alternative option . At the moment, we have about 5 billion years to deal with the current problem of the rapid extinction of thousands of species.
