The arrival of new updates in operating systems, such as Android 13 or iOS 16, marks the arrival of the last months of the year, where the world’s developers begin to use betas to prepare their applications.
However, end users are increasingly interested in trying these updates and after the Apple event, where they presented the iPhone 14, many fans of the brand want to know about this new version.
When does the iOS 16 update come out?
Apple usually launches its latest generation of smartphone very close to the date on which its operating system is updated, in this case iOS 16.
This is because, in most of the launches, the iPhone each year has an exclusive functionality of that version of iOS, therefore, the iPhone 14 will have some function of iOS 16 that the rest of the models do not, and that for the moment is not known.
Although there is a lot of excitement surrounding this update, the official date is scheduled to be Monday, September 12, between 10am and 12pm.

Unfortunately, the iPhone 7 is left out of the update and the new limit is set by the iPhone 8, which was launched in late fall 2017. Leaving aside the iPhone 14, which will bring it as standard, the phones that will update to iOS 16 when the system is released will be the following:

How to install iOS 16
When the time comes, your Apple smartphone will show you a notification saying that there is a new version of the system and from the notification itself, you will be able to accept both the download and the installation.
In case you do not receive it, you can force the system itself to search if iOS 16 is ready to download: to do this, you must go to Settings> General> Software update.
