The Junta de Andalucía is making steady progress in its vaccination strategy and from this Tuesday, people born in 1982 and 1981 -those who have turned 39 or 40 years old in the current year 2021- can request an appointment for the first dose of the vaccine against Covid-19 .
The community, which last week registered a new vaccination record with more than 658,000 doses administered in seven days, continues in this way to progressively lower the cut-off age for the coronavirus vaccine, also accessible from this week to children under 40 years.
Thus, in the next few days this opening of agendas will continue for the rest of the thirty-somethings depending on the availability of vaccines: on Thursday for those born in 1983 and 1984 and on Friday for those born in 1985 . Immunization for this age group will be with Pfizer or Moderna .
The possibility of making an appointment directly in Andalusia will be extended this week for all people from 36 years. The number of appointments will be adjusted according to the available doses and will be operational for the people registered in the SAS user database, regardless of whether they have public or private insurance. People who have had the disease must wait six months from the diagnosis of the infection to make an appointment.
Ways to request an appointment
As detailed by the Ministry of Health and Families of the Junta de Andalucía, the appointment can be requested on the website of the Andalusian Health Service (SAS) through ClicSalud + , through the mobile application, from the Salud Responde telephone number (955 54 50 60 ) and also at your health center, preferably by phone.
As for the appointment for the administration of the second dose , it cannot be requested through these routes and it will be provided in most cases at the time of vaccination or will be communicated later by your health center.
In addition, all people over 55 years of age who have not been cited due to not having updated data in the SAS database or due to another type of incident have the option of contacting the SAS to obtain an appointment for vaccination. Through the telephone numbers enabled for this purpose .
These lines are served from each center and have been specifically reinforced. These phone numbers are published on the SAS website , where there is a specific section on citation and Covid-19 vaccination with updated information.
From Salud y Familias we want to make an appeal to the responsibility of all citizens, to which they are asked to please always attend by appointment and at the time of the same, since attending after hours causes unnecessary delays that hinder the planning of the process vaccination. Likewise, if any named person cannot finally attend the appointment, they must cancel it so that their slot can be used by another user.
Record week
These data are recorded after Andalusia has broken its vaccination record last week , with 658,387 vaccinations from Sunday, June 6 to Saturday, June 12, some 71,000 more than the previous week , when the previous record (587,394) was recorded. , according to data compiled by Europa Press .
Andalusia has administered until Saturday, June 12, a total of 5,895,770 doses of the vaccine against Covid-19 -25,453 more in 24 hours-, which represents 96.44% of the doses received, and a total of 2,240 .757 Andalusians have the complete vaccination schedule -8,959 more-, while 3,807,267 already have at least one dose.
Regarding the number of people with the two doses , there are 316,467 more people with the complete schedule, the second highest figure after the 373,027 put two weeks ago, the current record. However, this higher figure counts nine days and not seven due to a failure in the Board’s data download system.
This week, Andalusia receives 554,620 doses : 428,220 from Pfizer, 55,000 from Moderna and 71,400 from AstraZeneca.
