Balearic Outbreak | Two young people escape from the covid hotel in Palma: "They are leaving because they are free, period"

One of the two young people who escaped last night from the covid hotel in Palma where those affected by the mega-outbreak that emerged in the end-of-year trips to Mallorca are in isolation has returned to the establishment after a few hours, police and health sources have indicated this Wednesday.

The return to the Palma Bellver hotel, located on the seafront, occurred this morning after it was located by agents of the National Police and chose to return voluntarily.

This is an adult who tested negative in the PCR tests that have been carried out on the more than two hundred young people who remain confined in the hotel.

The other young man, who also tested negative in the PCR, seems to have been found and that he is with a guardian, health sources have specified.

The images of the young people escaping from the hotel were captured by Antena 3. They show how the young people and the woman who accompanies them travel the Paseo de Palma in complete tranquility. The journalist asks the woman and she replies: «Enough is enough, enough is enough to keep the children. They leave voluntarily because they are free, they cannot be stopped ”and he repeats:“ They are leaving the hotel because they are free, period ”.

The Balearic Prosecutor's Office has opposed the court ratifying the resolution of the Government in which it ordered the confinement of a group of more than 200 peninsular students traveling in Mallorca, due to their direct or indirect relationship with an outbreak that affects young people from various communities.
