Coronavirus data: Andalusia falls below 2,000 new positives but increases its Covid rate

The advance of the pandemic in Andalusia and in the country is marked by the increase in new positives. The arrival of a new variant has broken the stability that came from past days to highlight some indicators. The infections, mostly from young and asymptomatic people, are occurring these first days of summer. The Covid rate has also been fully affected, after days of decline it rises again. Andalusia continues its fight with a definitive weapon, the vaccination that has immunized a large number of people.

Andalusia registers 1,947 cases and the rate rises for the third consecutive day

The number of the thousand positives that had been registering for weeks has almost doubled in the last few hours. If the 2,000 positives were reached yesterday, today it has fallen, but not as much as it should. Still too close to double what it had been scoring a few days ago, the battle is still very much alive.

The 1,947 cases in the last 24 hours represent the highest figure on Saturday since April 17 and are registered after 2,007 on Friday, 1,689 positive on Thursday, 1,324 on Wednesday, 1,095 on Tuesday, 1,260 on Monday and Sunday, and 1,327 last Saturday. By provinces, Malaga is again the one with the most cases with 604, Seville with 313, Granada with 234, Cádiz with 275, Granada with 234, Córdoba with 228, Jaén with 186, Almería with 99 and Huelva with 68.

These data have caused the reference rate of this pandemic to continue to increase slightly , since 3 days ago the downward trend that continued to mark has been broken. The cumulative incidence rate in Andalusia stands at 180.62 per 100,000 inhabitants in the last 14 days, 7.22 points more in one day and 15.4 points more than a week ago.

The hardest and cruellest part of this pandemic has been taken by the 5 Andalusians who have lost the battle against this virus. Not all provinces have had to mourn deaths, two have been recorded in Seville, one in Almería, one in Malaga and another in Córdoba. The rest of the territory has achieved the desired goal 0. The coronavirus is still very active, but with a vaccination rate that is very fast in Andalusia, the number of deaths and serious people has been stopped.
