Twitter has expanded the information offered by the user profile with an image gallery . The news comes a few days after the ‘microblogging’ service incorporated its own snapshot upload system. In the profile of Twitter users you can now find a “Recent Images” section. The web shows next to the ‘timeline’ the last five images uploaded by the user . And by clicking on ‘See all’ you access a gallery that shows the last 100 snapshots uploaded. This gallery can be viewed in two formats: mosaic or detail. The system uses Photobucket technology.
Although the system has been released to give visibility to the internal image system, the Twitter gallery also shows those of compatible services, such as yFrog or Instagram. The images that appear in the gallery are those that the user uploads or the links that they copy from someone they follow. However, the images of a message are not displayed if the user has made a direct ‘retweet’.
Twitter also recently added the “Activity” tab , where users can find the most relevant in Favorites, Retweets, and know who people who follow on Twitter are following, all in one place.
