The toothpaste that predicts the weather

pasta-dientes David Carr, from the Media Lab at the MIT Institute (USA), has developed a smart dispenser that provides a different taste to the toothpaste we use depending on the weather forecast. Specifically, pasta tastes minty when the outside temperature is cold . If the sun is out in the morning, your toothbrushing will have a nice cinnamon flavor . And if the color of the pasta turns blue, it means that the rain is coming.

The device consists of a plastic toothpaste dispenser connected to a computer that can be informed of the weather conditions through software. The system distributes the different flavors depending on the forecast.

MIT scientists developed the dentifrice as part of a project that aims to integrate everyday objects with n comunicació technologies. In this way, instead of watching television, reading a newspaper or consulting the Internet to confirm the weather forecast and know what clothes to wear, we will obtain the information without having to change our daily routine.
