After appearance in the Kebekus show: Lauterbach in solidarity with victims of hate attacks

Since SPD health expert Karl Lauterbach warned about the corona situation in Germany, he has been the target of hatred and abuse.

Cologne – In his guest appearance in a music video by comedian Carolin Kebekus, which was broadcast last week (May 27, 2021) on ARD and has since been viewed more than 350,000 times on YouTube, the SPD health expert Karl Lauterbach is self-deprecating – and becoming promptly insulted again.

The hatred of Lauterbach and Kebekus is particularly intense in the channel of the conspiracy narrator Attila Hildmann, who fled to Turkey at the end of March from an investigation into incitement to hatred. Screenshots from the research group “Die Insider” show how Hildmann eloquently calls on his thousands of subscribers on the news channel Telegram to “thumbs down blitzkrieg” against Kebekus and Lauterbach.

Karl Lauterbach in the “Carolin Kebekus Show”

The video in question was part of the “Carolin Kebekus Show” last week, which has been on ARD since 2020. The comedian celebrates the hoped-for relaxation of the rules in the fight against the corona virus in the summer hit-suspect pop song “La Vida Sin Corona”. Karl Lauterbach appears again and again – in an office with a framed Markus Lanz portrait on the bookshelf – on the right side of the picture and relativizes the hopes for normality with warnings. For example, he reacts to the line “We cough at each other because nothing can happen there. Shake hands, relaxed, no distance ”with a raised index finger:“ Highly risky from my point of view ”.

Anti-Semitic agitation against Lauterbach and Kebekus after Corona song

Lauterbach announced his guest appearance at Kebekus self-deprecatingly on Twitter, but apparently prepared for a renewed wave of hateful comments: “If you want to have fun at my expense: Here I make spoilsport for @carolinkebekus – comments welcome”. The fact that both finally agree with “The summer will be good” should give hope and yet caused a renewed wave of hatred among many critics of the Corona policy and Lauterbach himself, also in the relevant telegram channels such as Hildmann’s.

On the screenshots from the group of the conspiracy narrator, which “Die Insider” had posted on Twitter, Lauterbach and Kebekus are also insulted anti-Semitic. The SPD politician replied stoically on the short message service: “For months I’ve been insulted and threatened by anti-Semites and Nazis. My solidarity goes out to those who have endured this for years. I hope that we will soon succeed in using democratic means to drain channels, in the truest sense of the word, like that of “Attila” Hildmann “.
