Carnemobil, the step of the meat industry towards the digital age

Technological innovations have transformed many areas of society and revolutionized many industries, markets and businesses. It is undeniable that most consumers have become accustomed to the virtues of the digital age.

The Mexican Food Tech Startup, Carnemobil is a technological platform dedicated to the commercialization of meat proteins. This innovative sales solution connects customers, suppliers, distributors and franchisees.

It is a new startup, based in Monterrey, Nuevo León, whose idea arose when it detected a great opportunity in the meat industry in Mexico, especially in the last mile part.

Carlos Enríquez, founder and CEO of Carnemobil shares that despite the fact that there is a supply in butchers, chicken shops, self-service stores and the like, he perceived that there was a lack of standardization in terms of quality, prices, packaging and a delivery service that would satisfy the needs of customers. current consumers.

Thus, upon detecting this opportunity, it was decided to use the most innovative technologies to revolutionize the meat industry, a sector that remained practically the same for decades.

Enríquez affirms that business in the world is changing and Mexico will not be the exception. “Today business is done in collaboration, they are no longer pyramids, but large networks available to anyone who wants to take advantage of them, thanks to technology.”

With this vision, Carnemobil’s proposal is a fusion of protein stores with physical and virtual branches, with direct delivery to the client’s home or business.

Defining itself as a “C – Store of proteins”, this venture merges the digital world with the physical world and the franchise industry in the same concept.

The main products are beef in its two main branches: fine cuts for grilling such as Rib eye, New York, Filete, Tomahawk or Porter House and everyday products such as Milanesas, hamburger meat, chamberete for broths, as well as products derived from pork and chicken.

Although it currently operates with six physical units and delivery in the metropolitan area of Monterrey, the Startup has solid medium-term plans to open a physical branch per month and expand delivery to the entire metropolitan area of Monterrey, then in Mexico City .

In this strategic plan that is being implemented, it stands out that 70% of the branches are owned and 30% franchised. For now, they analyze that this model reaches territories such as CDMX, Querétaro and León.
