The corona pandemic has been with us for almost two years. The mask requirement was one of the first measures to contain the spread of the virus. Since then it has been a companion in everyday life – whether in the supermarket, in restaurants or on the bus and train.
And everyone is – unless there is a medical exemption – affected by the mask requirement. So does Cathy Hummels. But the BVB player’s wife resisted the Corona edition for a snapshot: In three pictures, the 33-year-old poses in the door of an ICE train and shows her beaming smile. That didn’t go down well with all followers. In addition to numerous comments about how beautiful the photos are, some Instagram users also pointed out that we are still living in a pandemic. One of them wrote under the ICE picture: “In train stations, on platforms and IN trains it is compulsory to wear a mask… Why is it so difficult to understand? And that with the numbers in Bavaria, among others! “
Another comment was even more personal to her: “It still seemed to be enough time to pose … Without a mask and despite the current situation in Bavaria, is irresponsible and contradicts your role model function as a public figure, dear cathyhummels”.

It is the second shit storm that the young mother has received in a short time: A picture of Cathy Hummels and her son Ludwig on Instagram also angered some followers *. “Give the little one a break from the camera,” it said, among other things.
The 33-year-old has got used to nasty comments, but she does not want to accept them quietly. Again and again, Cathy Hummels makes hate on the net a topic on her Instagram channel *.
