The army has taken to the streets in Chile to try to stop the violent riots that have taken place on the anniversary of the riots. Church fires, destruction of public furniture and assaults on law enforcement officers. There are at least 36 detainees for riots that have overshadowed the peaceful protests in this Latin American country. Those that commemorated, as their motto says, "the awakening of Chile." A year of mobilizations that has resulted in 30 deaths and thousands of detainees.
