The writer explained that with his book “he tries to get closer to what was the thought of the German biologist Alexander von Humboldt, who was concerned about two things: the relationship of human beings with nature and social problems.” He pointed out that this is a constant in all his poetic work: “There are poems in which the registers are very different, I like to play with humor, irony or metal literature, but I also really like everything that has to do with that contemplative poetry that has sometimes helped me to find meaning in my life ”.

During the event, Gustavo Cuéllar, mayor of Moguer (birthplace of the Spanish Nobel Prize winner for Literature Juan Ramón Jiménez), highlighted from the winning collection of poems “both its great literary quality and its theme committed to the defense of nature and the need to promote a social thought, two very present poetic concepts always in the work of Juan Ramón ”.
