But the 67-year-old does not only see dealing with the corona pandemic as a failure of politics. “How can it be that we have completely fallen behind in digital life and in many, many other things? We slept through everything, ”said Bohlen. The musician believes he knows an answer to his own questions.

He didn’t want to blame anyone, but had the feeling that many positions in German politics were not occupied by people who really had knowledge and skills. “Instead, someone was sitting there because they had to go there because of the party book or for whatever reason,” stated Bohlen.
In America, according to Dieter Bohlen, who recently also settled accounts with his musician colleagues *, it is completely different. There would be “really competent people”, for example in finance. It is no coincidence that almost everything that is used every day in Germany comes from America.

The baker comes and says ‘Ok’, stuffs two rolls in there and after three days it rains again. You also call the roofer, ”says Bohlen.
The pop titan emphasizes that it must be the same with politicians in Germany. Before there is the “jolt” that Bohlen wanted in German politics, the corona pandemic must first be brought under control. And here the former DSDS juror sees the entire population as responsible.
