The number of new corona infections will also increase dramatically on Thursday (November 25th, 2021). The RKI announces the current case numbers for Germany.
Berlin – According to an official census, more than 100,000 people in Germany died with or from Covid-19. The Robert Koch Institute gave the number on Thursday morning as 100,119. This reflects the status of the RKI dashboard at 3:47 a.m. The number of new corona infections transmitted within one day exceeded the threshold of 70,000 new infections for the first time. According to the RKI, the health authorities reported 75,961 cases in 24 hours.
Exactly one week ago there were 65-371 new infections recorded. The seven-day incidence was 419.7 – also a high since the beginning of the pandemic. For comparison: the previous day the value was 404.5, a week ago it was 336.9 (previous month: 110.1).

According to the new information, 351 deaths were recorded across Germany within 24 hours. A week ago there were 264 deaths. The RKI has counted 5,573,756 detected infections with Sars-CoV-2 since the beginning of the pandemic. The actual total number is likely to be significantly higher, as many infections are not recognized.
The number of corona patients admitted to clinics per 100,000 inhabitants within seven days was given by the RKI on Wednesday as 5.74 (Tuesday: 5.60). The value plays an essential role in assessing the occurrence of the infection. If limit values 3, 6 and 9 are exceeded in the federal states, stricter measures to combat the pandemic can be imposed there.
The RKI stated the number of those who had recovered on Thursday at 4,744,400.
RKI: Most corona deaths winter 2020/21
According to the RKI, most of the corona deaths occurred last winter with more than 1000 reported cases per day. At the moment the death rate is much lower, although there are significantly more infections. On Thursday, the seven-day incidence peaked at 419.7.
